In the wilds of an idyllic Yukon summer, Buck pans for gold while waiting for his partner to return with more provisions. Buck dreams of returning home to his girl, Sadie, if, no, when he strikes it big. Then one night he awakes to howls and Buck soon learns that Sadie’s disapproving father is the least of his worries.
